摘要
Velocity profiles in turbulent pipe flow of drag-reducing liquids have been measured by means of Pitot previously calibrated by towing. The results are compared with classical Newtonian velocity profiles, and differences are discussed. A qualitative insight into the mechanism of drag reduction is thus obtained. © 1969.
