WHAT COBE MIGHT SEE - THE FAR-INFRARED COSMOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

摘要
The redshifted emission from infrared luminous galaxies should produce a diffuse background around 300-mu-m detectable by the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE). The detection of such emission would provide evidence for evolution in the density or luminosity of galaxies in the infrared.
