摘要
Ion trajectories and flight times of the oblique incidence and exit of an electrostatic ion mirror have been calculated. The effects of the extended fringing fields of a mirror with finite apertures have been estimated. The results of the calculations are represented by two transfer matrices for the entrance and exit fringing fields. This matrix yields a small shift and bend of ion trajectory and a small variation of flight time on a transformation plane. Ion-optical properties of the systems with an ion mirror can be evaluated by using these matrices. Large effects of the fringing fields are calculated in a mirror system.
