摘要
The behaviour of bismuth and lead submonolayers on Pt single crystals are reported. The existence of irreversible adsorption phenomena are a complication to characterize the adlayers in UPD experiments. In acid medium the system Pt(111) -Bi can be studied in detail after irreversible adsorption experiments by combining the hydrogen adsorption-desorption reaction and the redox process undergone by the adatom on the surface of the Pt(111) electrode.
