PERFLUOROOXAZETIDINES

Several new functionally reactive fluorooxazetidines have been prepared. The parent amine, perfiuoro-1,2- oxazetidine, can be obtained by the hydrolysis of 2-(2′-chloro-2′-ethoxy-1′, 1 ′,2′-trifluoroethyl)perfluoro-1,2- oxazetidine. Similarly, the 4-chloro- and 4-bromoperfluoro-1,2-oxazetidines have been prepared from their respective ethers. Perfluoro-1,2-oxazetidine has been fluorinated, chlorinated, and acylated with carbonyl fluoride to give perfluoro-2-fluoro-1,2-oxazetidine, perfluoro-2-chloro-1,2-oxazetidine, and perfluoro-2-fluoroformyl- 1,2-oxazetidine, respectively.
