摘要
The influence of band‐gap radiation on various properties of the two ferroelastic polytypes 2MC and 2MA of Sb5O7I is investigated. In addition to normal photoconduction, an influence of radiation on a) the spontaneous deformation (photodeformation), b) the double refraction (photorefractive effect), and c) the domain structure (photodomain effect) is noted. Free energy calculations indicate that these effects are caused by non‐equilibrium carriers in concentrations of the order of 1016 cm−3. Copyright © 1979 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA
