摘要
The effect of air injection on the discharge of particles from a bunker has been studied. On the basis of the mechanical energy balance an empirical correlation of solids mass flow has been derived. The discharge of particles is a function of the pressure drop across the orifice, of the density of the solids at minimum fluidisation, of the orifice diameter and of particle size and shape. The location and manner of air injection proved to be unimportant. The controlling flow region is in or just above the orifice as may be shown by a simple model. © 1969.
