摘要
It is shown that a randomly stratified layer that is homogeneous on the average represents a fluctuation waveguide arising as a result of interference of multiply scattered waves. The field of a point source in such a waveguide may be represented as the sum of quasi-homogeneous waves that propagate along the layer with low attenuation. Such field structure is due to the existence of quasi-stationary states in open disordered systems. © 1990 Optical Society of America.
