摘要
The extraction of 3-dimensional information from an image is a central problem in computer vision. Location of the vanishing point of a line in the image provides its 3-dimensional direction. This paper is concerned with the detection of the vanishing points in an image. A new accumulator space formulation for the whole line accumulation approach is described which fulfills an important property for robustness: the constancy of the detectability of a vanishing point whatever its location in the image plane. It is compared with the Gaussian sphere accumulator space. Results are presented from interpreting indoor scenes of a nuclear plant. © 1991.
