PROMPT GAMMA-RAY EMISSION IN SPONTANEOUS TERNARY FISSION OF 252CF

摘要
The ratio of the yield of prompt gamma rays emitted in binary fission of 252Cf to that emitted in ternary fission has been determined using a NaI(Tl) detector. A value of 1.16±0.02 was obtained. The yield of gamma rays in ternary fission is found to increase with the alpha-particle energy for Eα>17 MeV. © 1969.
