摘要
Exchange-degenerate pairs of Regge trajectories are shown to interfere in such a way that the wrong-signature nonsense zeros, which often lead to dips, are cancelled. The particular example of backward K+p scattering is discussed. It is shown to be plausible that the Λα and Λγ trajectories in this reaction are degenerate. Thus, the dips expected when α(Λα)=-12 and α(Λγ)=-32 may be cancelled by this mechanism. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
