MODE SUPPRESSION AND PERIOD-DOUBLING CASCADE IN A DOUBLE-PLASMA DEVICE

摘要
Mode-mode coupling in a double-plasma device has been observed where the internal oscillation is totally suppressed by an external signal of nearly equal frequency. This mode suppression exhibits a period-doubling cascade when the amplitude of the external signal is increased slowly keeping other parameters constant.
