摘要
Mössbauer absorption in noncubic europium compounds (EuSO4, EuC2O4, EuCl2, EuCO3) shows a combined magnetic and quadrupole interaction at very low temperatures. The nuclear quadrupole moment ratio for Eu151, Q(21.6keV)Q(ground)=1.30±0.05, was obtained from measurements at 0.054°K. With Q(ground)=1.16 b, we find Q(21.6keV)=1.51 b. Earlier measurements are discussed in view of the present results. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
