HIGH-ORDER RESONANCE STRUCTURES IN A ND-DOPED GLASS MICROSPHERE

摘要
Cavity-QED-enhanced spontaneous emission spectrum was observed in a 48 mum diameter Nd-doped glass sphere. By using a simulation procedure, the observed emission peaks were identified by assigning them to definite cavity modes. It is found that quite high-order-number (l = 15, 16) modes that have not been seen before play a dominant role and lead to significant QED enhancement.
