摘要
Three compounds containing cyclopropane ring systems have been newly characterized from Aesculus parviflora and Blighia sapida. Exo-3,4-methanoproline was isolated together with its probable biogenetic precursor, cis-α-(carboxycyclopropyl)glycine, from seeds of Aesculus, whilst the structurally related trans-α-(carboxycyclopropyl)glycine was obtained from Blighia seed. The structures were assigned following the analysis of the hydrogenation products obtained from each substance and of the NMR and mass spectra of the compounds. © 1969.
