摘要
The threshold velocity at which a light, rotated in a fronto-parallel plane around a foveal fixation target, appears as a filled" band of light rather than a moving luminous object was determined with parametric manipulation of (1) eccentricity of the moving target; (2) arc length traversed; and (3) luminance and wavelength composition of the target. The velocity at threshold increases as luminance and arc length increase. The use of spectrally selective illuminants gave results suggesting that the response in white light for a 10' target at 5.7° from the fovea is determined by a scotopic mechanism at all luminances and at 3.3° from the fovea by a scotopic mechanism at low luminances and a photopic mechanism at high luminances. © 1969."
