M1 DECAY OF THE 2(3)S(1) STATE IN HELIUM-LIKE KRYPTON

摘要
We report a measurement of the lifetime of the 2 S-3(1) state in two-electron krypton. The lifetime is found to be 171.0 +/- 2.2 ps, which is in reasonable agreement with current theoretical calculations. This measurement provides a test of the order (Zalpha)2 relativistic corrections to this lifetime.
