摘要
The industrial need for solids flow instrumentation is discussed and current industrial methods of solids flow detection and measurement are reviewed. It is concluded that a range of satisfactory instruments is often available for systems where the solid material is conveyed on a belt, or is falling freely under gravity. The choice of instruments for use in pneumatic or fluidised bed conveyors is, however, very restricted. An electrical capacitance noise instrument is satisfactory for flow detection of fluidised powders, but no existing instruments can be considered satisfactory for mass flow measurement of such powders. © 1969.
