DEUTERIUM ENRICHMENT VIA SELECTIVE DISSOCIATION OF FLUOROFORM-D WITH A PULSED CO2-LASER

摘要
Fluoroform-d undergoes multiphoton dissociation when irradiated with a pulsed CO2 laser and yields DF by unimoleclar elimination. Product analysis by infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography shows that this process can be used to effect deuterium enrichment. A deuterium enrichment factor of greater than 5000 is obtained in natural fluoroform. © 1979.
