摘要
Catalytic disproportionation of olefins, discovered with molybdenum hexacarbonyl on alumina, may also be effected over additional catalysts. These catalysts are high surface area, refractory materials. Useful supports include oxides of silicon, aluminum, thorium, and zirconium; phosphates of aluminum, zirconium, titanium, magnesium, and calcium; and mixed oxides of some of these metals. Active promoters include hexacarbonyls, oxides, and sulfides of molybdenum and tungsten; and oxides of rhenium, niobium, tantalum, and tellurium. The various combinations reported here differ somewhat in activity. Compositions having highest activities were tungsten and molybdenum oxides on silica, alumina, or aluminum phosphate. This paper describes typical catalyst preparations, test procedures, and results. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
