The vapor pressures of {x(2.8LiCl + LiNO3) + (1-x)H2O}, where x = wMw /{wMw + (1-w)Ms}, w denotes the mass fraction of lithium salts, and Mw and Ms denote the molar masses of H2O and of (2.8LiCl + LiNO3), respectively, were measured in the range of temperatures from 274.15 K to 463.15 K and in the range of mass fractions from w = 0.1005 to 0.6342. The mass of (2.8LiCl+LiNO3) was of dry solid. The vapor-pressure measurements were made with three separate apparatuses by a boiling-temperature method and a static method. The experimental results were separately correlated by means of an Antoine-type equation. The calculated values from this equation for the three sets of measurements were in good agreement with the experimental results. © 1993 Academic Press Ltd.
