摘要
3α-3H-pregnenolone was synthesized and administered with 4-14C-pregnenolone to a Digitalis lanata plant, from which labeled digitoxigenin was subsequently isolated. A comparison of the tritium distribution in the two compounds proved that oxidation at C3 is an obligatory step in the biosynthetic pathway. © 1968.
