OXIDATIVE ADDITION OF GROUP-14 HYDRIDES TO OSMIUM(O), OSMIUM(II) AND RUTHENIUM(O) COMPLEXES - CRYSTAL-STRUCTURES OF OS(SIET(3))H(CO)(2)(PPH(3))(2) AND OS(GE[P-TOLYL](3))H(CO)(2)(PPH(3))(2)

摘要
Treatment of M(CO)(2)(PPh(3))(3) with HER(2)R' (M = Os; E = Si; R = R' = Me, Et, Ph; R = Ph, R' = H; E = Ge, Sn; R = R' = p-tolyl; M = Ru; E = Ge, Sn; R = R' = p-tolyl) affords the corresponding oxidative addition products M(ER(2)R')H(Co)(2)(PPh(3))(2) (1-8). The crystal structures of two complexes, Os(SiEt(3))H(Co)(2)(PPh(3))(2) (2) and Os(Ge[p-tolyl])(3)H(CO)(2)(PPh(3))(2) (6) have been determined. Reaction between HSnMe(3) and any one of the following compounds, OsHCl(CO)(PPh(3))(3), Os(Ph)X(CO)(PPh(3))(2) (X = I, Cl), Os(SiMe(2)Cl)Cl(CO)(PPh(3))(2), yields the osmium(IV) complex Os(SnMe(3))(2)H-2(CO)(PPh(3))(2) (9). Determinations of T-1 suggest that the hydride ligands in 9 are coordinated in the classical manner rather than as eta(2)-dihydrogen.
