A NEW RATE 2/3 SLIDING BLOCK CODE FOR THE (1,7) RUNLENGTH CONSTRAINT WITH THE MINIMAL NUMBER OF ENCODER STATES

摘要
A new rate 2/3 sliding block code is presented that generates sequences satisfying a (1,7) runlength constraint. The encoder achieves the minimal number of states required for such a code, while maintaining the same properties as the industry standard IBM (1,7) encoder.
