摘要
The control of gene expression from different T4 DNA templates is examined. Absence of glucosylation did not grossly alter T4 early gene expression. Late gene expression was altered extensively. The absence of late gene expression in DNA negative or maturation defective mutants was overcome to an appreciable extent if the infecting phage DNA lacked glucose. Fragmentation of the nonglucosylated genome by restriction cleavage had distinct effects on early and late gene expression.
