CHIRAL LOGARITHMIC CORRECTIONS TO HEAVY TO LIGHT SEMILEPTONIC DECAYS OF THE TYPE H-]PI-E-NU

Using an effective chiral langrangian that describes the low-momentum interactions of mesons containing a single heavy quark with the pseudo Goldstone bosons, we calculate the chiral logarithmic corrections to transitions of the type H --> pienu (pi is-an-element-of {pi+/-, pi0}; H is-an-element-of {D, B]) and present improved estimates for the heavy-meson coupling g to the axial-vector Goldstone current based on recent experimental data. We find that the chiral logarithmic corrections reduce Absolute value of g by (20-30)% relative to its leading-order value.
