摘要
Pilot-plant digestion of cattle and poultry wastes has shown that significant reductions in polluting power, including reduction in odour, can be obtained. Specific gas production, and methane content, is lower from cattle than from poultry wastes. For both wastes detention times approaching 20 days seems optimal. With cattle wastes digestion is better at higher than lower solids contents, while the reverse is true for poultry wastes. These effects are probably caused by the ammonia content of the wastes. © 1979.
