摘要
The free energy of defect formation and the activation energy for motion of the most mobile defect have been determined from the ionic conductivity of as-grown and Mg-doped single crystals of lithium iodide. Values obtained are sf = 4.5k, hf = 1.06 eV with km(cation vacancy) = 0.43 eV, giving a defect concentration at the melting point x0(Tm) = 0.18at.%, concordant with the other alkali halides. © 1969.
