摘要
The nonlinear structural optimisation problem is solved by successive approximations in which the objective function and the constraint functions are approximated as single term posynomials about a given design point at each step, and transformed into a linear programming problem in the logarithmic space. Each feasible basic solution is constructed with the aid of pseudo constraint limits, which are obtained either from specified move limits around the design point, or from the activity level of the constraints at the previous approximated solution, making some of the inactive constraints artificially active. The method is demonstrated by some examples. © 1978.
