摘要
Germanium ad-atoms were found to adsorb oxygen in the potential range from 0.2 V to 0.7 V. The saturation coverage with oxygen was determined in that potential range. The number of platinum sites occupied by one germanium ad-atom was determined to be two. The rate of hydrogen evolution is reduced in a manner same as that of the reduction of the pairs of nearest neighbour sites available for hydrogen adsorption. © 1979 Elsevier Sequoia S.A.
