NUCLEAR RESONANCE FLUORESCENCE FROM 375 KEV LEVEL IN 127I

摘要
Using gaseous sources of 127Xe nuclear resonance fluorescence was observed from the 375 keV level in 127I. The lifetime of the level was determined to be τ = 22±4 psec. The dependence of the resonant scattering on the source temperature yielded the total transition energy of 127Xe to be QEC = 684±22 keV. The cross section for resonant scattering was also influenced by the application of an electrical field to the source. © 1969.
