摘要
This paper presents the application of an integrated approach to process and control system design for waste water neutralisation. The main design tools used are a controllability test for quantifying the effect of process delays and an optimisation method for worst case design using nonlinear dynamic models (Walsh and Perkins, 1992). A model for the reaction of solid Ca(OH)(2) with acidic waste water is presented. A case study based on an industrial problem is presented illustrating the use of the model and design tools to generate a robust low cost design.
