摘要
Within the last few years there has been an increasing interest in materials exhibiting non-linear optical effects. Various semiconductors and crystals are know for large non-linear coefficients but the intense search for even more efficient and cost-effective materials has led to organic polymers and semi-conductor-doped glasses. We describe the fabrication of semiconductor-doped glasses, their transmission and fluorescence spectra and some of their non-linear properties as well.
