摘要
The vuv luminescence spectra of rare gas solids consist of free exciton and self-trapped exciton emission and give insight into exciton-phonon interaction. Detailed information about the emitting states is obtained from recent time resolved investigations. The special advantages of synchrotron radiation excitation for photoluminescence studies are discussed. © 1979.
