摘要
Ordered recall for 9-digit strings was better when series length was predictable during presentation than when it was not. This difference occurred entirely in the early serial positions. Taken together with data on individual differences in primacy effects, these observations were interpreted as favoring a crucial role for rehearsal strategies in digit-span performance. © 1969 Academic Press Inc.
