QUANTIZED VORTEX PAIR PRODUCTION IN HE-4 FILMS AS A BOUNDARY-LAYER PROBLEM

摘要
We show that the idea of a boundary layer for discrete vortices arises naturally from the equation of motion for the probability distribution of an interacting vortex pair. In contrast with classical hydrodynamics, this boundary layer is of statistical origin, and the method leads to a scaling law for the exact dissociation rate of a bound vortex pair. © 1979.
