摘要
Triggered surface switches built on planar lines ranging in width from a few cm up to 40 cm, and having from 1 to 39 current channels, have been measured to have inductances of the order of a few nH. Such low inductances guarantee that this type of switch, which is suitable for use in very-fast-current-rise- time, multi-kA, multi-kV circuits will not, itself, set a lower limit on the current rise time of the circuit. The formation of the channels is in the range of 20-100 ns and the jitter can be as low as 1-2 ns.
