NUCLEAR PHOTOEXCITATION OF 7368 KEV LEVEL OF 66ZN BY LEAD CAPTURE GAMMA RAYS

摘要
A nuclear resonant scattering experiment was carried out of the lead capture gamma rays from natural zinc. We observed 29 de-excitation gamma rays from the resonant level. A comparison of the energies of the low-lying levels with the energies of the inelastically scattered gamma rays and the low-energy cascade gamma rays establishes the resonant isotope as 66Zn. Angular distribution measurements of the scattered gamma rays were performed to assign spins to low-lying levels of 66Zn. From the results of these measurements, the decay scheme for the 7368 keV of 66Zn is proposed. © 1968.
