摘要
A computer-aided approach based on the finite-element theory is proposed for analyzing nonlinear TM-polarized optical waves guided by dielectric slab structures with arbitrarily nonlinear media. In the formulation, the biaxial nature of nonlinear refractive index is considered without any approximation. Numerical results are exhibited for nonlinear TM waves propagating in symmetric slab waveguides.
