ON THE BEHAVIOR OF COTSPC AS ELECTRO-CATALYST FOR OXYGEN REDUCTION IN DMF SOLUTIONS

摘要
The CoTSPc (cobalt tetra-sulfonated phthalocyanine) adsorbed on either a quasi-reversible OPG (ordinary pyrolytic graphite) electrode or a totally irreversible Pb electrode showed no catalytic effect toward O2 reduction in DMF (dimethylformamide) solution. Introducing some water into the DMF electrolyte did not improve the catalytic activity. These effects are attributed to the lack of oxidation-reduction circulation between Co(I)/Co(II) and O2/O-2 in the media studied. © 1990.
