PICOSECOND DYNAMICS AT THE SOLID LIQUID INTERFACE - A TOTAL INTERNAL-REFLECTION TIME-RESOLVED SURFACE 2ND-HARMONIC GENERATION STUDY

摘要
Surface specific optical studies of picosecond reaction dynamics at solid-liquid interfaces are reported. The experimental technique was time-resolved surface second-harmonic generation in a total internal reflection geometry. Malachite green photoisomerization and rhodamine film photophysics were studied. The fast transient observed for rhodamine 6G films implies a heterogeneous surface layer, possibly containing rhodamine dimers. © 1990.
