摘要
An electron microscopy investigation of worn surfaces of monolithic alumina, whisker-reinforced alumina, monolithic silicon carbide and silicon-silicon carbide has been performed. The emphasis has been to explore the mechanisms of wear debris generation and tribofilm formation and their influence on the tribological behaviour in closed contacts of the flat-on-flat category.
