The equation {Mathematical expression} was used for an investigation of the mathematical description of the kinetics of the thermal decomposition of the residue remaining after vacuum-distillation of Romashkino crude oil. The investigations were carried out at 573, 623, 673, 723, and 773 K. Various methods were used for the calculation of the function F(α) using polynomials of different degrees and solving the integrale of precise and approximate methods. © 1979 Wiley Heyden Ltd., Chichester and Akadémiai Kiadó, Budapest.
