摘要
The Chemical Shift Imaging (CSI) technique has been used to study the two phase flow of oil and water in rock cores and model systems. The technique has been implemented on a 0.4T 7 in bore magnet with an SMIS imaging console. The CSI technique distinguishes oil from water by the difference in their chemical shift (about 3.5 ppm). A complete chemical shift spectrum is produced for each image pixel from which oil, water images can be deconvolved. High resolution images (< 600-mu-m) have been obtained. The distinction of water from oil was verified by imaging an artificial piston-like front. An immiscible displacement in a Portland limestone core plug was studied with CSI. The two-dimensional water and oil maps clearly show viscous fingering of the water phase. Two approaches for studying "miscible" polymer based displacements are presented. A series of experiments visualise the result of changing the viscous, gravity force ratio in miscible displacements.
