摘要
With the increased need for predicting the movement and distribution of chemicals in an aquatic environment, knowledge of the rate constants governing the uptake and clearance of chemicals in fish is required. In the absence of experimental data, a method is proposed for making reasonable estimations of these two rate constants based on the physiology of the fish and the properties of the chemical. The credibility of the proposal is demonstrated by comparing predicted rate constants with values measured in the laboratory. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
