摘要
Trace amounts of ytterbium in seawater were coprecipitated with iron(III) hydroxide, and the precipitate was dissolved in 2 ml of 8 mol/dm3 hydrochloric acid. Iron(III) ions were removed by extraction with 2,6-dimethyl-4-heptanone, and a 20-mu-l aliquot of the aqueous phase was directly injected into a graphite furnace atomizer. Ytterbium in seawater was found to be (0.62 - 1.35)x10-9 g/l.
