摘要
It is suggested that composite particle basis functions may be used with advantage to evaluate the nuclear spin Hamiltonian in certain cases involving chemical equivalence, in particular for molecules containing CF2 groups. The [AA′X]2 spin system is discussed in detail. The spectrum of perfluorocyclobutene is analysed on this basis, and the coupling constants are discussed. Comments are also made on the NMR properties of other fluorocarbons. © 1968.
