CENTRAL REFRACTORINESS IN SIMPLE REACTION TIME - DEFERRED PROCESSING MODEL

The well-known single channel conception of the human operator gives rise very naturally to the deferred processing model for simple reaction time. The predictions of the model principally concern how features of the simple reaction time distribution depend on the foreperiod duration. When developed quantitatively and compared with published data, the predictions seem to be fairly seriously wrong. © 1968.
