摘要
It is demonstrated that the creep deformation of pyrolytic graphite at high temperatures in response to tensile stress in the basal plane may be the result of the independent two-dimensional plastic distortion of each individual plane of carbon atoms. The distortion within each plane is produced by the movement of unit c-axis dislocations mainly by climb from a generalised Herring-Nabarro mechanism. © 1969.
