INTERFACE PROPERTIES OF SILVER ELECTRODES ON 2-DIMENSIONAL POLYPYRROLE FILMS

摘要
The interaction between Ag as an electrode material and the surface of polypyrrole films as a prototype material of stable conducting polymers was studied in a comparative investigation by electron (XPS, UPS) and electrical impedance spectroscopies. It is found that Ag forms a stable interface on the two-dimensional polypyrrole films. The stability is caused by the sequestering of Ag atoms in the two-dimensional microstructure and by the formation of Ag-polypyrrole compound with metallic properties.
